THE BERNESE OBERLAND & ZERMATT

While exploring the best of the Bernese Oberland, you’ll discover some of the most beautiful parts of Switzerland while hiking through landscapes that seem like a true fairytale.

Throughout your trip, you’ll explore the quaint mountain towns of Mürren and Zermatt, staying in hand-selected boutique hotels and inns. During your hikes, you’ll have breathtaking views of the icy trio of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau and the surrounding peaks.

Your daily hikes consist of walking alongside bright blue lakes and gazing up at tumbling waterfalls, snow-capped peaks and huge glaciers. You’ll meander through fields of wildflowers and past herds of cows with tinkling bells: the true sound of the Alps.

Each day, you’ll eat the delicious, local cuisine at small mountain huts that still function as farms and at the family-run farm-to-table style restaurants in each town. You’ll engage with the friendly, charming communities along the way and each night as you watch the sun set over the jagged mountains, you’ll reflect on a great day and get excited for the next.

Favorite part? Difficult - there were so many. Switzerland was a dream come true. I was enraptured by the book Heidi since I was young. Switzerland didn’t disappoint. The charm of the Jungfrau area was idyllic. The hiking is a a hiker’s dream. I was thrilled to hear the cow bells and see the cows!

The whole trip was my favorite! And each part for a different reason. The sharing of the experience with people we know and love; being in places where the natural beauty takes your breath away; laughing and learning; feeling and seeing a bit into the souls of people who are passionate about what they do.
